10:30 a.m. LTLA students kick-off Advocacy Session
5 p.m. Take your Legislator to Dinner *Use this opportunity to network with your legislator and take them to dinner!
6 p.m. LTLA group dinner
Wednesday, May 31
8-10 a.m. Legislative Breakfast at Pentagon Barracks
11 a.m. Sponsors begin to arrive at capitol for set up Photo/video booth set
12 p.m. All sponsors completely set up
12 p.m. - until Sponsors and industry guests greet legislators in capitol rotunda
- Industry will have opportunity to “call out” legislators on the floor
- All participants can participate in photo/video booth
1 p.m. LTLA students arrive to learn the legislative process
3 p.m. (ish) House and Senate convene
- LTLA students recognized on Senate floor
4 p.m. Sponsors break down tables
** Note that there is no “average” day at the capitol, so we can never predict exactly what time legislators will be coming out of committee meetings or what time the general sessions will start. However, our ultimate aim is to catch them as they come and go at lunch time, and then call them out while they are in general session.
