Tour #1: The Sazerac House
1-3PM
Depart hotel at 1PM

*Participants will walk from the hotel to The Sazerac House
Discover the legacy and lore of your favorite drinks on this self-guided tour. Explore thoughtful exhibits in a beautiful setting with opportunities to talk with experts, enjoy complimentary samples and learn about the methods used in distilling Sazerac Rye. This is your place to see how the Sazerac is part of the customs, traditions and culture of New Orleans.

*A valid government issued photo identification card is required to access The Sazerac House. Must be 21 years old or older to enjoy samples.

    

Tour #2: City Sightseeing Hop-On, Hop-Off City Tour with Mardi Gras World and The National WWII Museum

Take a grand tour of New Orleans on the Top Deck of the RED Open-Top Double-Decker Hop-On Hop-Off bus. Enjoy sightseeing in all the most interesting areas of the city on this 90-minute tour with a fun and intriguing tour guide. See the French Quarter, Garden District, Basin St. Station, St. Louis Cemetery #1, Canal St., Superdome, Warehouse District, Mississippi River and Magazine St. and Hop-Off for a visit to two of New Orleans’ most famous attractions.

Stop 1: The National WWII Museum
The National WWII Museum tells the story of the American experience in the war that changed the world—why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today—so that all generations can understand the price of freedom and be inspired by what they learn. Through exhibits, multimedia experiences, and thousands of personal accounts, the Museum takes visitors on an immersive tour of World War II in every theater of war.

Stop 2: Mardi Gras World
Stop at Mardi Gras World where you will get a behind-the-scenes look at where Mardi Gras is made.  Since 1947, their artists and craftsmen have designed and built the oldest and biggest parade floats and attractions for each Mardi Gras season, with over 500 floats built and decorated each year. Here, you’ll get an overview of the history of Mardi Gras in New Orleans and a tour of the float den where artists work year-round to build spectacular floats and props.

     

                                        

Tour #3: Airboat Adventures Swamp Tour
1:15-4:30PM
Bus departs as 1:15PM

Just a short drive outside of the heart of New Orleans, you will find Louisiana’s swamplands teeming with wildlife. Hop on an airboat or pontoon boat to glide through moss draped cypress trees and see the bayou come to life right before your eyes. You’ll have the chance to see alligators, wild boar, egrets and more – all in their natural habitat and within feet of the boat.  Learn about the swamp and its inhabitants from local, expert guides. They’ll even show you how to feed the alligators! This tour is the perfect opportunity to escape busy city life, slow down and soak in the beauty of nature.

    

Tour #4: Creole Queen Historic Cruise

New Orleans' only Historic River Cruise! Focusing on 300 years of New Orleans history, this cruise offered twice daily is narrated by a local historian who takes guests on a journey through the story of the city as we sail downriver to the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and the historic Chalmette Battlefield. Highlights of the tour include the founding of the city by the LeMoyne brothers, the expansion of the city into the “French Quarters” of the Treme and Marigny, the Louisiana Purchase, and the critical Battle of New Orleans. A one-hour shore excursion at the battlefield features a guided tour.
